About Samantha
Samantha Aronson
Lic. Acupuncture, MBAcC
BVSc Veterinary Science, MRCVS
BSc Physiotherapy
Samantha is a graduate of the International College of Oriental Medicine and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. She has spent the past 14 years in a variety of clinical settings, working in both the human and animal health sectors.
Many years spent riding horses developed into an interest in the way animals and people move, specifically, what type of movements and therapies contribute to or degrade musculoskeletal health. It was fitting then, that her clinician’s journey began with a physiotherapy undergraduate degree, where she spent 4 years honing these interests and skills. She has consequently developed a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology and understanding the mechanics of the physical body.
Her diverse expertise is further enriched by her work as a licensed and practising veterinarian, giving her a deep insight into the conventional medical sciences. Her unique qualifications demonstrate a broad commitment to healing across both human and animal health.
Over the course of her career, Samantha has come to appreciate greatly the essential role of nervous system regulation in promoting and maintaining a state of health. With a focus on the intersection of mind, movement, neuroplasticity and health, Samantha’s acupuncture practice is dedicated to guiding her patients on a perceptual journey, bringing them home to the concept of ‘embodied wellness’.
Samantha is originally from Cape Town, South Africa. She lives in Dartmouth Park, North London with her partner, beloved Cairn Terrier and belligerent ginger cat.
Why acupuncture?
Acupuncture opens the door to the perception of subtle shifts and changes in the body and the mind, allowing you to connect with aspects of yourself that may have been hidden or neglected during the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Through this holistic practice, you may discover greater balance, presence, and awareness of your current state of being. By meeting yourself where you are, you become able to explore the potential for something different and unlock a more profound sense of what is means to be fully human, fully alive.
Modern studies support acupuncture’s efficacy for a range of conditions, particularly in pain management, such as chronic back pain, migraines, and osteoarthritis. Acupuncture has also been used to reduce symptoms of anxiety, improve sleep, and alleviate chemotherapy-induced nausea. For up-to-date research and evidence on the efficacy of acupuncture, please visit the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) or Evidence Based Acupuncture websites.
"When we’re closest to the banks of chaos or rigidity, we’re farthest from mental and emotional health. The longer we can avoid either bank, the more time we spend enjoying the river of well-being."
